A BIOS photo showing the boot drive and boot order.
Use this flow when Windows stops booting after a build, storage move, BIOS change, or update. Keep the next step focused on drive detection, boot order, stability, and recovery before reinstall decisions.
This flow is for systems that still power on but no longer boot Windows cleanly, so you can separate drive visibility, boot order, tuning instability, and repair-path issues without jumping straight to reinstall.

The exact boot error, repair message, or blue screen text if one appears.
A short list of the most recent build, BIOS, Windows, or storage changes.
The intended Windows drive may be missing or not first in the boot order.
XMP, EXPO, or other changes can break the boot path after a build or BIOS update.
The bootloader or a recent update may need repair before the OS can load again.
Loose seating or a degrading drive becomes more likely when the disk disappears or repair keeps failing.
Confirm the intended boot drive is visible and first in the boot order.
Disable XMP, EXPO, and other tuning while you test basic boot stability.
Try Startup Repair or Safe Mode before moving to more destructive recovery steps.
Inspect storage seating or drive health if the boot drive disappears or repair keeps failing.
Does BIOS still see the intended boot drive, and did this begin right after a build, update, or storage change?
The drive disappears from BIOS, recovery repeatedly fails, or the system shows signs of storage failure.
If the problem turns into blue screens, storage concerns, or full no-POST behavior, move into the closest repair page instead of forcing everything into the boot bucket.
