Capture where the display cable is connected and which ports are in use.
Use this flow when the PC powers on, but nothing useful appears on the monitor. The goal is to separate monitor and cable mistakes from GPU, RAM, or no-POST problems before you start swapping parts.
The PC appears to power on, but no useful display output reaches the monitor. That still leaves the display path, monitor input, RAM, GPU, and no-POST behavior in play.
Capture where the display cable is connected and which ports are in use.
Record any debug LED or POST code pattern that appears during startup.
Note whether one RAM stick in the recommended slot changes the outcome.
The monitor input is wrong or the cable is on the wrong output.
The graphics card is not fully seated or the PCIe power path is incomplete.
The system powers on, but memory or POST behavior prevents usable video output.
The expected video path does not match the installed GPU or CPU graphics support.
Confirm the monitor input and the correct cable path before deeper hardware changes.
Test one RAM stick in the recommended slot and note any debug LED change.
Reseat the GPU and PCIe power leads, then test onboard graphics only if supported.
Where is the display cable connected right now, and do you see any debug LEDs or POST codes?
Escalate when cable, RAM, and GPU checks fail and the system still never produces video output.
If the system moves from no display into Windows trouble or obvious no-POST behavior, move into the closest recovery page instead of repeating the same monitor checks.
